UCF plants Water Purification Plants (RO) where clean drinking water is not available.

IMPACTING 21550 INDIVIDUALS ANNUALLY

People in rural areas are getting infected by waterborne diseases (Bacterial diseases, Parasitical Diseases, Viral Infections) like; Cholera, E.coli infection, Dysentery, Salmonellosis (Salmonella), Typhoid fever, Adenovirus infection, Gastroeneritus, Hepatitis A, Polio, Dengue Fever, West Nile Fever, Protozoa, Amoebiasis, Cryptosporidiosis, Cyclosporiasis, Giardiasis (Giardia), Helminths. People do not have access to clean drinking water. They cannot boil water for drinking purpose because they do not have enough fuel to burn the stoves. Water laboratory testing proves that water is not containing enough ratios of minerals. This is not healthy for drinking purposes. Drinking water in Pakistan does not have enough ratio of mineral like: Manganese and Molybdenum, Copper, Iron and zinc, Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium. This condition is causing different diseases who are caused by deficit or increase of minerals. They cannot buy drinking water because they do not have access to drinking water plants because these plants are only available in cities, they also cannot pay to get drinking water, the reason behind is their economic barriers.

WATER, SANITATION AND HYGIENE:

UCF plants Water purification plants (RO) everywhere in Pakistan to provide safe drinking water. We conduct advocacy and awareness sessions on sanitation and hygiene through corner meetings, mass communication and community meetings. We believe we can overcome the crises of sanitation and hygiene through making people aware how to overcome.

“We want to enable all people and especially women, girls and those living in vulnerable situations to practice the right to sanitation and hygiene across the course of their lives with dignity and safety.”
